Automakers keyed in on the popularity of the Spring Sports Season with heavy ad lifts during #MarchMadness and the #NBA playoffs. #Toyota made the largest splash spending four times more on NBA games this April vs. last. Outside of the arena, #Honda capitalized on the social strength of #Coachella, partnering with 88rising to create the #HondaChillHall at the music festival. Taking a different approach to big media spending, #Hyundai and #Mercedes entered the NFT space this Spring. The Korean auto brand issued 10,000 #Ethereum based Metamobility NFTs while Mercedes partnered with #FTX and #F1 superstars Lewis Hamilton and George Russell at the Miami Grand Prix.
