Trend Report 6.28.22

This week, we heard from Hannah Rinkov about #Beauty #PersonalCare and #Fashion trends.

QSR brands know that consumers are such big fans of their products, that they want to rep their favorite brands in any way possible!. Chipotle got nostalgic nodding to their inception with their “1993 Collection” offering consumers a chance to rep the brand by showing off the original logo. Denny’s offered their customers a similar brand love move by unveiling their “Diner Drip” merch store that included sweatshirts, bucket hats, and t-shirts with retro Denny’s logos. Wingstop got in on the action by releasing a limited-edition pair of shoes inspired by the restaurant’s primary colors, scratch-made ranch dressing, and the swoop mimicking the crispy, fried texture of their wings.

In beauty news, make-up brands are keeping a focus on gaming. L’Oreal’s Garner Fructis has signed a partnership with Team Vitality. They’ll have visibility across the team’s entire roster of games. Benefit Cosmetics is hosting the beauty industry’s first gaming tournament series for women. This tournament builds on Benefit’s Game Face program that was introduced in 2020 to work on connecting the beauty and gaming communities.
