Shop Talk: Oscars Recap

Everything, Everywhere All at Once was, well, everywhere all at once — pardon the low hanging fruit — at the Oscars on Sunday. A24 cleaned house between EEAAO winning 7 AWARDS (!!) and The Whale winning Best Actor and Best Makeup and Hairstyling (shoutout to all the Encino Man stans out there). Ke Huy Quan gave our watch party some teary eyes with his speech, and personally, I couldn’t stop smiling during the performance of Naatu Naatu or Ruth Carter’s legendary win. On the carpet, we’re mixed on the champagne color, but also absolutely loved Emily Blunt and Cate Blanchett’s dresses. The #SponCon Little Mermaid trailer had some iffy reviews on our end — what is up with these dark trailers from Disney? Either way, here’s to what was a fun Oscars night — can’t wait to start my predictions for next year!
