This week we heard from Matt Robertson about #Sports trends.
All four major sports leagues, plus NCAA leagues, played over the course of the first weekend of November giving us the yearly #SportsEquinox. The #NFL led the way with the highest rated game of the weekend, with 20M viewers (Rams vs. Bucs), outpacing the Georgia vs. Tennessee primetime matchup and Game 5 of the #WorldSeries at 13.05M and 12.87M viewers respectively. The #NHL is moving toward a stronger digital advertising model with new digitally enhanced dasherboards in rinks, and the #MLB inked the first sponsorship deal with a cannabis provider out of the major four sports leagues. #NIL deals are continuing to grow in popularity and settling out in the marketplace with NCAA Football deals making up 50% of the market, as NCAA Men’s and Women’s basketball follows at 19% and 12.5% of all total deals.
