Trend Report 11.16.21
This week, we heard from Hannah Rinkov about #Fashion and #Beauty trends.
There’s never a wrong time for a fashion or beauty collaboration – and entertainment entities understand that now more than ever. Following their star brand ambassador Kristen Stewart, Chanel partnered with the film ‘Spencer’, not only providing wardrobe, but helping to fund the film as well. Pulling from the desert color palette of Dune, APL created 3 unique colorways of some of their most popular sneaker styles. And banking on neutral color palettes and avid fans, a number of shows and pop culture moments have chosen to go with makeup collaborations, ranging from branded handheld mirrors to eyeshadow and lip gloss. NYX partnered with Money Heist to deliver a collab that featured a mirror with the iconic Dali mask. The Mandalorian collaborated with Colourpop to bring the cuteness of Baby Yoda (AKA The Child) to a collection that featured Lux Lip Oil and a makeup bag. Rounding out the makeup collabs, HipDot partnered with Tapatio hot sauce on a Día de los Muertos collection and I Heart Revolution collabed with Elf to spread Christmas cheer through makeup.
