Trend Report 2.2.21
This week, we heard from Jessica Russell about #Beverage trends.
After a year that included a huge uptick in alcohol sales, 2021 kicked off with the ever-controversial #DryJanuary. #ODoul’s partnered with Match.com on an initiative to normalize non-alcoholic first dates – including limited edition cans, a sweepstakes to win virtual date kits (sans alcohol), and even an option for Match users to update their drinking preferences on their profile. #BudweiserZero also tapped into #Dryuary with an all-star team of athletes and a sweepstakes to win tickets to a 2021 World Series Game. In other beverage news, #MtnDew relaunched their #YearOfDew program with Speedway LLC (the number 1 Mtn Dew C-Store). The program includes #DailyDew pit stop under-the-cap prize codes, sweepstakes to win $1K, and even hidden Golden Mtn New bottles. Not to mention, it’s the perfect kick-off celebration to showcase their first new flavor in over a decade: #MajorMelon.
