In the world of social media, TikTok is still reigning supreme. As Instagram continues to put more content from accounts users don’t follow on their main feed they are seeing a decline on engagement. According to a new report from The Wall Street Journal, TikTok users are spending over 10x hours consuming content on TikTok as opposed to Instagram Reels. In a separate report, 40% of Gen Z users prefer using TikTok and Instagram search over Google showing a much larger shift happening across the internet.

Over in the Metaverse, brands are still finding unique ways to create activations. Chipotle gave gamers and rewards members a first taste of the restaurant's new garlic guajillo steak ahead of its release. The first 25,000 Roblox players to grill a virtual steak in Chipotle's Burrito Builder Roblox world received a free Chipotle entrée code. Taco Bell is giving one lucky couple the chance to tie the knot in a Decentraland replica of its Las Vegas Wedding Chapel and Cantina. The wedding will be held in the fall and loved ones, special guests, as well as Taco Bell fans already in Decentraland will be invited.
