This week, we heard from Cynthia Hill about #CPG trends.

Yes, there are some fun new products in-store like #TakisWaves (move over #Lays) and #KeeblerXGirlScout cones (yes!), but the real fun for CPG is happening online. Using social videos & Twitter polls, #Oreo found out the best snacks to share with alien lifeforms. Their new campaign “#TheOffering” uses the hype around the 6/29 UFO report being released to launch on online only packaging. Not to be out done, Barilla Group launched on #TikTok with a parody that is part earworm/part dinner manipulation. Barilla decided to co-opt a 41MM strong hashtag into their own rigatoni mantra. And apparently fearing mayonnaise is a thing (confirmed by members of our team). #KraftMayo used Insta & Twitter to give-away #Mayophobia kits. Can’t wait to make MayoToni for dinner tonight.
