IRL events and festivals were sorely missed during the pandemic. As vaccination rates rise, people are ready to get back out however some feelings of uncertainty linger. The digital transformation of the event space will continue to impact consumer behaviors and experiences. #Festivals like #TheEssenceFestival remained digital while the very IRL #BurningMan introduced the “#VirtualBurn”. #Sundance and #SWSW chose to let consumer’s decide how to participate by offering a hybrid model. Traditional indoor experiences continue to take a creative spin with outdoor options like boats and movies. And even retailers are incorporating digital experiences to draw foot traffic. The #HarryPotter flagship store in #NewYorkCity unveiled the opportunity to fly on a broomstick!
